We discussed old business regarding success of Christmas Shoppe and Christmas Snack . The teacher luncheon which Liz Rosa took care of chairing was wonderful. Reminded everyone that fleeces that are on backorder will be delivered by the end of January.
Mrs. Patterson talked about the plans for Catholic Schools Week and that she and student council have been meeting to discuss activities. One of the activities will be on the Friday of that week called “ Minute to win It”. Everyday will have a different theme. T-shirt order forms will soon be going out if anyone wishes to order them. Also she said the children will be bused for an all school Mass On Thursday Feb. 1 to the High School. More information to come. Mrs. Patterson also let us know that the hockey game has been rescheduled for April 12. We also applied and were chosen to participate in what they call a “ Dash for Cash” at the hockey game. Unfortunetly it is the same night as our Play for K. Mrs Tracy Laidlaw, the Kindergarten teacher, was chosen to be the teacher participant. They put a green tarp out on the ice with $3500 in $1 bills and the teachers have to run out and collect as many $1 bills as they can and the school keeps the money the teacher collects. The ticket admission price is $14 and $4 of that goes back to the school. Mrs Patterson said we will have a mock “ Dash for Cash” at the school . Look for more information to come home in the newsletter this Friday.
Mrs. Tiefenthal could not be in attendance but she wanted everyone to know how much the teachers appreciated the Christmas luncheon and it was delicious . Also that the Diebels were being administered this week.
Michelle Becker let everyone know the balance in the account is $20,818.21.
It was reviewed that Daffins candy sale starts on Feb 5 and ends Feb 2o with pickup being on March 14. Family Night of Fun, chaired by Liz Rosa will take place Jan 29. Doors will open at 5:45pm and show will start at 6:15pm, running an hour. There will a concession , but no cover at the door. The Valentines day swizzle stick and Carnation sale is Feb 5 through Feb 9. Reminded everyone that the “ Play for K” at KC is Jan 27th. No one had received any information about it via email or otherwise, so Michelle Becker is going to call Janet Taylor at the school to advise. Let everyone know Jeans day is Friday and no school Monday , Jan 15.
All of the upcoming events were announced but no additional information at the this time was discussed.
