Hello KCFS families! As we approach the Christmas holiday the administration has been closely
monitoring the COVID-19 situation and we feel it is in the best interest of our staff and students
to adjust our school calendar a bit. We understand the importance of in person education and would
like to be able to continue in that capacity. We believe that making the two days before Christmas
break (Dec. 21st and 22nd) and the week following break (Jan. 4th-8th) remote work days will enable
us to keep our students and staff healthy and safe while still providing instruction. It is our
hope that we can continue in person instruction with little to no disruption as we have since the
beginning of the year. As a reminder for those who are traveling for the holidays, the Secretary of
Health issued an order requiring travelers over age 11 entering Pennsylvania from locations
outside the Commonwealth, including Pennsylvanians who are returning home from locations outside
the Commonwealth, to produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test or place themselves in quarantine
for 10 days without testing or a 7-day quarantine with a negative test on or after day 5 of
