Giving Tuesday

Nov 30, 2021 | KCFS News

Dear Kennedy Families and Friends,

After spending a day giving thanks for all of our blessings, it has become a tradition to participate in a day of giving back on #GivingTuesday.  This is a meaningful day to personally impact a group or institution that has touched us or inspired us.  On this Giving Tuesday, I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider supporting our schools and, in turn, our students.  At Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools we strive to nourish our students in all aspects of their lives – spiritually, intellectually, physically, and emotionally.  It is an undertaking we do not take lightly and that is done so with the assistance of many generous and talented individuals.

Your generosity on this Giving Tuesday will directly benefit our students in many ways.  A large portion of our donations are geared toward tuition assistance.  Approximately 80% of our students receive assistance to alleviate the financial hardship so many of our families are facing.  This aid affords students with the opportunity to benefit from a Catholic education that we believe is a major stepping stone to their future success.  Donations also are used to address facility needs that are vital to the safety and well-being of our students and staff.  One such facility need is the roof of the middle school and high school, which is in dire need of replacement but brings with it a very hefty price tag.

As I have seen first-hand, there is so much good happening in our schools.  I love visiting the elementary school and witnessing the joy and enthusiasm of our youngest learners.  Our middle school and high school students brought me so much pride last week during the Thanksgiving Food Drive – they spent hours of their time working diligently to sort food and deliver the packages to families in need.  The faculty and staff of Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools are to be commended for their dedication and efforts in nurturing our students.  Our community of families, friends, and supporters is a vital part of our success, as well.  It really does take a village and I am thankful for each member of this wonderful Kennedy Catholic Family.

May God bless you and your loved ones today and always.

Warmly,

Melissa Joseph
