Hello SJPII Families-

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed this beautiful weather! We have a busy week ahead of us at Saint John Paul II Elementary. Please find the Little Eagle News 10.24-10.28 and Red Ribbon Week 2022-SJPII for this school week. As a reminder, students who do not participate in the themed day are to wear their normal school uniform.

In addition, you will find the 22-23 Mini Dance Sign-Up for Mini Danceline for students in K-3. This form and payment will be due on Monday, October 31st. A hard copy will be sent home tomorrow with students as well.

Please make sure to read through the Little Eagle News for information about the Halloween Parade and Trunk or Treat this Friday at SJPII.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon! Students will preview the Book Fair this week and be able to shop next week starting on Monday, October 31st. A schedule of buying times for each grade will be sent home this week via email. Be on the lookout for this communication.

Students are still going outside for recess. Please make sure that during the cooler temperature days that students bring a jacket to school with them.

We are excited to start our Cookie Compliments in the lunchroom this week. Each classroom has a chance to earn a cookie compliment each school day for their great behavior at lunch. The first grade level to earn a dozen compliments, will get to choose where they sit at lunch! As you can imagine, the students are very excited for this. Best of luck to all our classrooms!

We have really cut down on tardiness this school year! To award our students for being ready to learn, we will be picking random students throughout the week to earn prizes for being present and ready to learn! Students can ear small trinket prizes or jeans day passes.  Keep up the great work! Our Little Eagles continue to show that they are ready to learn, responsible, respectful, and safe!

May God bless you and your families.

Educationally Yours,

Mrs. Kathryn Tiefenthal
SJPII Elementary Principal
