Student Assistance Program

The student assistance program is in place at Kennedy Catholic High School. Kennedy is involved with this program through which faculty members are trained to identify students with possible emotional, behavioral, or chemical difficulties. This is a mandated program through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The primary goal of the program is to help students overcome barriers in order that they may achieve, remain in school, and advance.

Anyone can refer a student to SAP when they are concerned about someone’s behavior… any school staff, a student’s friend, a family member. The students themselves can go directly to the SAP team to ask for help. The SAP team contacts the parent for permission to proceed with the SAP process.
