Human Body Investigations Career Camp

This camp is generously funded through a grant received by the United Way of Mercer County.

Who:  Students entering grades 9 through 11 who have successfully completed the Medical Detectives Career Camp.   Please do not register your child if they have not or will not successfully complete Medical Detectives prior to June 15.  

When:  June 15 – 19, 2020 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Lunch served for FREE each day

Where: HOPE Center for Arts and Technology. 115 Anson Way, Sharon, PA 16146 

Cost:  FREE, Students who successfully complete the Career Camp will receive a $250 stipend.  

This camp is for students who have successfully completed the Medical Detectives Career Camp.  The Medical Detectives Camp was offered during Summer of 2019 and is being offered this summer at Thiel College from June 8-11, 2020.  Students will apply their previously learned knowledge to examine the human body systems. Students will explore science in action by building organs and tissues, as well as take on the role of medical professionals to solve real-world problems.   In order to successfully complete this Career Camp, students must also complete a separate job shadowing experience with UPMC. Job shadowing experiences will be scheduled separately from the above dates and times of the Career Camp. Additional application materials and information about the job shadowing experience will be sent to parents of students who are accepted into the Career Camp.

All registrants who are accepted into the Career Academy will receive a registration confirmation and detailed agenda for the Career Academy Camp and job shadowing experience via email by the end of May 2020.
