City of Hermitage Commissioners Proclaim March 2 National Reading Awareness Day

promclamation All six City of Hermitage Commissioners signed a Proclamation for Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools, specifically St. John Paul II, for their efforts and leadership in promoting National Read Across America Day. Kindergarten teacher Ms. Mickanin, and kindergarten students Riley, Roxy, Myles and Principal Tiefenthal couldn’t be more proud. Students will celebrate by engaging in a different reading project every day this week.

Each year, National Read Across America Day is celebrated on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The annual event is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading creative by the National Education Association. Since the event is designed to encourage reading in children and is fostered through the schools. Read more about it.
