I Look Like a Cardiologist program at UPMC

Dec 2, 2021 | Enrichment Opportunities

I Look Like a Cardiologist program at UPMC is a free medical mentoring program for high school students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine. Specifically, we like seeing young women, Black/African-American/LatinX/Indigenous, rural, low SES, and immigrant students. The program runs virtually from 7:00-8:15 on 4 Wednesday nights in January. Students are then invited to come to the UPMC Oakland campus on a Saturday morning in February, although this part of the program is optional. All students are paired with a physician mentor to meet with four times in addition to the main program sessions.
